Does Domain Age Affect AdSense Approval?
Domain age isn't a stated requirement, but it does correlate with approval outcomes in practice. Here's what we've observed and what to do about it.
Google has never stated a minimum domain age for AdSense approval, and plenty of newly registered domains do get approved. That said, domain age appears to be one signal among many that contributes to a reviewer's overall trust assessment of a site.
Why older domains may have an edge
An older, previously indexed domain has had time to accumulate genuine search visibility, a crawl history, and — if it's been managed well — a clean record with no history of policy violations. None of that is guaranteed by age alone, but it's more available to an older domain than a brand-new one.
What matters more than age alone
- Whether the domain has any history of spam, thin content, or prior AdSense policy violations.
- Whether the site is fully indexed by Google at the time of application.
- Whether the content and structure are genuinely complete, regardless of how long the domain has existed.
If you're applying on a brand-new domain
The practical fix isn't to wait indefinitely — it's to compensate with everything else. A new domain with 20+ deep, original posts, complete policy pages, and clean navigation regularly gets approved without any aging period at all.
Our recommendation
Don't treat domain age as a blocker you can't do anything about. Focus your energy on the factors you fully control — content depth, site structure, and policy pages — and let 10MillionReach tell you whether age is actually a live concern for your specific site or a red herring.
