How Many Blog Posts Do You Need Before Applying for AdSense?
There's no official number, and anyone quoting you an exact figure is guessing. Here's a more useful way to think about it.
This is one of the most common questions we hear at 10MillionReach, and the honest answer is that Google has never published a specific post count. What we can share is the range that correlates with successful approvals across the sites we've worked on.
A practical range, not a rule
Most sites we help get approved have somewhere between 15 and 30 substantive posts at the time of submission — each one at least 800–1,200 words, covering a distinct subtopic rather than repeating the same idea with different keywords.
Why the number matters less than the depth
Ten posts that each thoroughly answer a real reader question will outperform thirty thin, 300-word posts every time. Reviewers are evaluating whether there's enough here to judge, and whether what's here is actually useful — not counting URLs.
Topic focus matters as much as count
A site with 20 posts spread across cooking, finance, and gadgets reads as unfocused. The same 20 posts concentrated on one clear topic area — with an obvious audience and purpose — reads as a real publication.
Our recommendation
- Aim for 15–25 posts minimum, each genuinely useful on its own.
- Keep the topic focus tight enough that a new visitor understands the site's purpose within seconds.
- Publish over real time, not all in a single day, if your timeline allows.
- Prioritize your best five posts — these are often what a reviewer actually reads closely.
If you're not sure whether your current content is enough, 10MillionReach can review it against what we've seen work before you spend more time guessing.
